[Users] dialup redundancy - solutions?

Does anyone know of a script that could effectively dial a PPP server when
an internet link goes south? I would like to setup a tunnel to a
centralized application server with freeswan, but am hesitant to do so
without a solid redundant solution. The only thing I can think of is having
a PPP / RAS server on the other end to accept connections when the internet
link goes down. But, how can this be automated?

Best regards,

Andrew Judge
