[Users] Internal IP to routeable ip ipsec

i understand my previous post confused several people. so i'll repost
making it clearer.

i have the machine i'm connecting from (twb) it has this setup

network card ip address (10.0.0.1) connected to a alcatel adsl modem
which has a "internal address side(plugged into the network card)" which
has an ip of 10.0.0.138. It then has an external interface which is
plugged into the telephone line(this have a rotating ip address).

Then at the other end the machine has a static ip hdsl connection.

Now the reason i believe it won't connect is that the twb machine
reports it self as having an ip of 10.0.0.1 to the second machine. When
i start up ipsec netstat -rn gives 2 ipsec interfaces which is good, but
the other end only has 1 so only 1 end of the tunnel is active.

I can put the modem into a non-bridged mode where that rotating ip is
given to the network card of twb but i then have to control the
connection using pppoe. Is there a way i can do this without having to
use the non-bridged solution?

Kind regards
