We've tested SSH Sentinel v1.3 a lot with FreeS/WAN IPSec and they
interoperate fine. I'd recommend you to download SSH Sentinel v1.3
Beta-2 from http://www.ipsec.com and also update your FreeW/WAN Security
Gateway upto the latest v1.96 release.

If using X.509 certificate based authentication instead of Pre-Shared
Keys (a.k.a Secrets), the use x509patch v0.99-1.96.

Increasing debug level in FreeS/WAN you'll get a useful debug
information into your FreeS/WAN logfiles. Using IKE Auditing under SSH
Sentinel gives you a lot of debugging information from the VPN client.

Our FreeSWAN/OpenSSL interop configuration guide is still under
construction. It will popup into http://www.ipsec.com when it's ready.
Until that, please check those SSH Sentinel v1.2 documents:
http://www.ssh.com/support/sentinel/documents.cfm

If you find any problems using SSH Sentinel v1.3 Beta-2, please fill up
the form:
http://www.ssh.com/support/sentinel/request_form.cfm

Hint: a well documented network scenario and full configuration details
will help our technicians a lot when checking the case. You can use
direct e-mail address sentinel-support_at_ssh.com as well.
