[Users] pgpnet + win98 SE + telnet = crash

Hello everybody. This isn't a FSW issue.
I have installed a clean machine with M$ Virus 98 SE + video driver +
modem driver (lucent).
This is laptop IBM 390X
Then I have installed a PGPnet 7.1.1, imported the X509 certificates and
all is fine.
I'm connecting to the internet with the analog modem, I try to ping an
internal host and PGPnet establishes all SA properly (green circle
appear).

After this happens a very strange behaviour.

I try to telnet (telnet.exe skipped with windoze) to an internal lan
machine, and all is working: I can login, I start top, copy some file
and other various thing.
When I type exit (in the telnet window) my laptop losts all network
connections both to the internal lan and to the internet (I can't ping
any host). After a while, if I try to ping an internet host, Windoze
says: no resource*. (I'm using windoze 98 SE italian version and it
says: "nessuna risorsa").
So I must reboot the machine.

Any idea? Could be a conflict between lucent winmodem and PGPnet?

TIA
