[Users] FreeS/Wan and IPComp

 Hi !

I'm working on an project that deals with compressing data transmitted
in LANs. I read the RFC 3173 about IPComp. Searching for Software
with IPComp implemented I found FreeS/WAN. Since FreeS/WAN is Software
for VPNs I would like to know whether I can use it to just compress
data I send through a FreeS/WAN Gateway and not to encrypt it? I know
that this isn't the purpose FreeS/WAN is developed for, but do you think
I can gain the advantage of lower traffic, when I can use it in
 the way I want to?
 Thanks for your help.

 cheers,
