[Users] key management

Hello,

now i have ipsec freeswan working; both ipsec and Pluto are now active
processes.

As i never tried freeswan, i would like to ask you this question: i think i
have no understood yet the key exchange mechanism: i put in ipsec.conf, in
leftrsasigkey, the public key copy/pasted from ipsec.secrets; then i enter
it, as example, on my ipsec windows client, ssh security sentinel, and i
restart ipsec. I start the client connection but in /var/log/messages i
have:

Apr 28 10:09:55 mail1 Pluto[23031]: packet from 151.26.145.86:500: ignoring
Vendor ID payload
Apr 28 10:09:55 mail1 Pluto[23031]: packet from 151.26.145.86:500: initial
Main Mode message received on 80.17.83.209:500 but no connection has
been authorized

I have tried all way, but this is the only error message i obtain.

I further question: if someone has my public key, can connect to my system?
What is the security of FreeSwan like? When i work with pptp i can setup a
username and a password to allow incoming connection...

Thank you a lot, bye!

Francesco Collini
