If you're doing a shopping cart application, you really need a dedicated
box anyways for security purposes. I'm sure that the fulfillment company
wouldn't be overjoyed about you setting up a VPN Connection to them on a
box that isn't used only for your applications.
Your best bet would probably be to go somewhere like rackspace.com where
you get a complete server of your own hosted for a monthly fee - I just
looked at their product offering and they will set you up with a
reasonably powered Linux box for $195/mo. You get complete root access on
the box, so once it's online, just come here and see if anyone would be
willing to set up FreeS/WAN for you for a couple hundred bucks.
