What about 1 Mb? 100 Mb? Kiddie porn? Hate literature? This list
could be the dream of someone wanting to spread this sort of stuff to
his friends... They sign onto the list, receive the illegal material,
and if anyone questions - "Hey, I was just looking for information on
IPSec! I didn't ask for this stuff!"

I can't understand why a group so dedicated to ensuring that unwanted
people stay *out* of computers is so bent on letting undesirable files
*in* to our computers!!! I don't think it could be called 'censorship'
if someone need only zip the file with the offensive extension before
posting! It ensures that *someone* actually intends that the post be
made. Not much different to how newspapers deal with 'name witheld'
letters to the editor... They require contact with the writer be made to
establish that the letter is legitimate before they print it. Not
censorship, just a check to make sure the message wasn't accidental.

Vasiliy, perhaps you would like to implement your filtering idea as
Claudia has no objection. We could all subscribe to you instead. I
doubt the FreeS/WAN people would mind the huge load caused by *one*
subscriber (you) to the list ;-) after we all move our subscriptions...
They could stay true to their ideology and we, the people, could have
what we have democratically requested and desire. Hmm, free speech
under a dictatorship... What a concept! ;-)

Brock
