Not sure if you've missed part of the discussion before, but the people that
run the list have a fundamental disagreement with the principle of filtering
mail - all of the errors you are getting are being generated by other user's
email servers. Someone was talking about setting up a filtered sub-version of
the list that you could subscribe to instead, but I don't know what actually
happened about it.

Personally I do not have a problem with the viruses. They are not too much of
a nuisance to me, since they cannot affect me. The warning alerts are more of
a problem, since they do spam (almost as much as this stupid html 'test'
message that keeps being sent).

As a result I would complain more about the alerts than the viruses.

Graham.

PS. I too hope to be able to contribute, and in the meantime will not let
this spam drive me off the list - tempting as it is. :)
