Hello,
I have freeswan 1.95 at the office and SSH Sentinel 1.3 on a Win98 road warrior.
I was trying to configure Sentinel on a Win2k system, but gave up because I
couldn't get a session established.
On Win98, Sentinel reports a successful SA being established and freeswan log shows
ISAKMP SA established and IPsec SA established.
The freeswan config is exactly per Sentinel documentation.
My network:
secure net freeswan box DMZ net Cisco 2611
172.16.4.0/22----172.16.4.31===a.b.c.71---a.b.c.0/24-----a.b.c.1------Internet
I cannot ping a host on the secure network from the road warrior, or vice-versa.
For now the Cisco router ACL allows all traffic to the DMZ side of the freeswan box.
I can ping or telnet to the freeswan box from the road warrior outside of the
tunnel.
How do I determine the IP of the road warrior from the point of view of the secure
network?
Do I need to have an IP on the secure network assigned to the road warrior?
I tried to obtain an IP on the protected via DHCP on the "SSH Virual NIC". winipcfg
reports the DHCP server could not be found.
The setup needs to be automatic and reliable for my travels.
I am getting very frustrated.
Thanks for any help,
Alan
