i've been around on this recently hooking a FreeS/WAN box up to an AS/400
with IPSec.

the interop.html info on the AS/400 is fairly useless, and at least 1/2
bogus. a perusal of the mailing list archives will show that in subsequent
discussion not reflected in interop.html, the proposal=0 fix wasn't really
the correct.

i'm working with the operators of an AS/400 to try and actually get things
working properly. when done, i plan to report on what really needed to be
done to the list.
