Please complain to Trend asking them why their ScanMail product notifies the
addresses referred to in the "From:/To:/Cc:" headers instead of the envelope
headers like any RFC-compliant MTA does.
(Almost?) all commercial SMTP antivirus scanners suffer from this plague of
a bug. I am the author of Qmail-Scanner - which can "plug in" antivirus
support, and I made damn sure it responds to envelope addresses only, and
tries to figure out if the message is from a mailing-list. If it is, it
doesn't respond at all.
That is the only way to deal with this problem. It's simple, it works, why
don't the "big boys" do it?
