i read your Pluto log(/var/log/secure) and find waring about x509cert.der.
if you set pgpcert.pgp, X509patch will read the setting file.
both x509cert.der and pgpcert.pgp file are not find.

So Plese make default x.509cert file at /etc directory.
# openssl x509 -in yourhostcert.pem -outform DER -out /etc/x509cert.der

if you set /etc/pgpcert.pgp, pahaps load_mycert() will read.
