Did you specify an xxxxfirewall or xxxxupdown script in your connection
description? These scripts are designed for ipchains, and unfortunately
out of date. You will need to modify them if you want them to work with
IPtables.

I believe some people on this list have submitted firewalling scripts
which work with iptables, you could try the list archives...
