The answer lies in using RSA authentication as opposed to ip based
authentication.

I haven't tried it out yet because my situation is a bit different. I am
using a PGPNet client behind a NAT router trying to connect to a
freeswan box. So far it looks like pgpnet doesn't support RSA. I think
you could also used x509 certs for auth.
