[Users] %hold blocks communications

Hi,

We have a number of LANs connected using FreeSwan 1.97 and 1.95 - all
has been fine for the last year except for the last few days. I have
now found two problems for users where specific routes have been blocked
on one or other of the gateways. In one instance nearly the whole lan
had been affected, in another only two specific machines. The problem
is that I get an eroute of the form:

<source IP Address>/32 <Destination IP Address>/32 %hold

This means that the affected gateway will not pass traffic between the
two sites.

I can manually enter ipsec eroute --del --eraf etc. etc. to get rid of
the problem.

Does anyone know why this is happening, and if so, how can I avoid it.

As I understand it I have had the problem on both a 1.97 gateway and a
1.95 gateway (although I could be mistaken and both could be on the 1.95
gateway).

Thank you in anticipation of help
