Just installed freeswan on a client's firewall and had some really good
success (after some hair pulling), so I duplicated my work for another
client and am having a problem I can't even seem to troubleshoot.
I'm using the latest x509 patch (included in the source freeswan patch
from debian) and for whatever reason, ipsec does not seem to be loading
my certificates (the public ones.) the ipsec.conf's are subtantially the
same. the certificates are in /etc/ipsec.d, only ipsec auto
--listpubkeys shows a bunch of keys on one and none on the other. I am
using the step-by-step instructions for freeswan-to-ssh-sentinel from
ssh.com. (the windows client, being ssh sentinel) The log complains that
connection is not authorized. It seems that ipsec isn't even loading the
ssh-sentinel certificate. What would cause that? (is there some other
way to tell than ipsec auto --listpubkeys ?)
