Dear list admins,
The signal to noise ratio on this list is very low, mostly due to the
incessant virus postings and warning messages for various mail servers
about the virus postings. Currently, the digest version of the list is
running at around 300-400 kilobytes per day (and is unreadable anyway
due to all the MIME).
Please can you consider implementing something to counter this problem?
(I am sorry to post this to the list, but previous posting to list admins
hasn't elicited any response.)
Perhaps something that filters MIME attachments would be a good option
(it could even just strip out MIME types popular with viruses of the day
and leave other things so that people can still post _useful_
attachments). Or a message size limit? Or... something!
Thanks,
