The X.509 patch supports Virtual IPs which are either
preconfigured in the VPN client or are leased dynamically
via the DHCP-over-IPSEC protocol. To my knowledge only
SSH supports DHCP-over-IPsec, although with their Sentinel
client also preconfigured Virtual IPs and the Cisco ike-config
mode is possible.
In my opinion DHCP-over-IPsec is the right thing to do. This
is why we renounced from implementing config-mode.
