[Users] unresolved netfilter symbols in ipsec.o

Hi,

Probably obvious to many of you, but ...

 I have two unresolved symbols;
nf_hooks and
nf_hooks_slow,
when I compile ipsec module.

This prevents the ipsec.o module from loading.

I can attach the relevant portions of my .config, but maybe someone
can tell me right away what I may have wrong.

( I also have these two symbols unresolved in the bridge.o module, so I
suspect a netfilter config issue, but the bridge.o module loads anyway.)
I have a Slackware 8.0 distro with 2.4.18 from source, and ipsec 1.97.

Also --The homepage says 1.97, the download page says 1.95, but ftp page
indicates 1.98 is latest.
So what is 1.98b == (beta, bugfix, ???)

Finally --I have tried to search the archives at
www.sandelman.ottawa.on.ca/linux-ipsec/,
but can't access any threads from 2002. The archives at
lists.freeswan.org/pipermail/users/
don't appear to have an easy search tool, am I overlooking something at
either location?

Thanks in advance,

-Bob
