Hello,

I have tried the rpm offered from the www.freeswan.org to enable IPsec on my
RedHat 7.3. I works fine. But i need also the x.509 functionality. Is it
right, that i must recompile the kernel ?.

I have installed RedHat 7.3 on an 350 MHz-Notebook, installed
FreeSWan-source, patched with x.509 and recompiled the kernel. Four (4) or
five(5) hours later it was finished.

Why can´t nobody make rmps with included x.509 functionality ???.
I tried it on different systems but i get no rpms (tried it like it was
described in the FreeSWan-Manual, but it fails).
There are existing rpms with x.509 functionality for Suse-Linux.

Perhaps the one who has build the rpms for Redhat can do the same with
included x.509 patch ???

kind regards

Kevin Gerbracht
