[Users] is my vpn secure ? do i need compression ?

hi,

my setup is the following :
         roadwarrior <---> internet <---> gw <---> vpn-server <---> LAN

to secure the connection, I use IPSec in transport mode between the
roadwarriors and the vpn-server,
then to provide user authentification + virtual IP there is a L2TP
tunnel over IPSec.

Does anybody as a similar configuration or see some problem with it ?

Does the encryption provide some compression ? Or should I set some
compression with ppp (l2tp) ?
