Ken,
Thanks for your help! It looks like we will be using Netlock's Nortel
Contivity Client.
I downloaded the trial and it seems to be working for us. I am more than
willing to pay the $120 for the client than spend hours trying to get the
Free S/SWAN to work. Which it looks like it dose not work with the latest
code on the Nortel box.
Again Thanks for your help!
Jeff Cline

Contivity 2600
This probably doesn't work anymore - at one point, you were able to use
FreeS/Wan v1.0/1.2 with Contivity Server Code 2.60.x as a branch tunnel
(as in, *not* the username/password authentication). Newer Contivities
ship with 4.x code, of which there's been no success stories to date.
If you need to use the Username/Password authentication (ie: you aren't
the administrator of your CES 2600, and are just a normal end user) your
best
option is to get Netlock's Contivity Client (www.netlock.com) and use
that, since it works (I use it myself). It's not free, but there's a
trial you can try and see if it works.
I upgraded two of my CES 2600s this morning to 4.06.120 of the Server
code, and I intend to test FreeS/Wan inter-op with it over the next few
weeks (both as a branch office, and hopefully with X.509 Certs (Andreas, I
might need to pick your brain for this)). I'll post the results when I'm
finished, since this is becoming a FAQ.
Ken
(Note: I'm not affiliated with either Netlock or Nortel, I just use both
products @ work)
