Hi.
Thank you guys for your posts. However, I have set up a network like
this:
192.168.1.1
Windows 2000 Server-----192.168.1.0/24
|
|
|
192.168.1.2
GATEWAY 1 (FreeSWAN Linux box)
|||
|||
|||
192.168.0.1
GATEWAY 2 (FreeSWAN Linux with Samba)
|
|
|
192.168.0.0/24
Windows 2000 Server is a PDC for clients on both sides (they all log
on to the same domain). Samba server is also logged onto domain and is
Local master=yes, and wins server=192.168.1.1. Windows 2000 Server is
also a DNS server for all clients on both sides. Everything works fine
with Windows 2000 and WinXP clients - they can see each other in their
network neighborhood. That's exactly what I wanted. Thank you.
Moreover, both gateways use dynamic IPs (link goes down every 24
hours, since they are on ADSL) and NoIP Dynamic DNS service as well. I
wrote a few scripts by which they can refresh IP configuration in
oposite's ipsec.conf files by using scp utility.
If anyone is interested in such a configuration, mail me, I can send
you the scripts.
Cheers,
