Hi Jörg,

I just had the same problem and solved it. I'm not on the list, but during my research I stumbled across the archive version of your email. So in case your problem ist still unsolved, maybe my few experiences can help you.

leftid in ipsec.conf on the server must be the DN of your Gateway, while rightCA in the ipsec.conf on your client must be the DN of your CA.

And of course, the DN of the Gateway must not be the DN of the CA.
