hi guys! i have a redhat production box, running a custom kernel. there is also the original kernel on that machine. i installed the 1.98b version of freeswan from rpm's... when i tried to start the ipsec service i've got this:
[root_at_somemachine root]# service ipsec start
ipsec_setup: Starting FreeS/WAN IPsec 1.98b...
ipsec_setup: insmod: ipsec: no module by that name found
ipsec_setup: modprobe: Can't locate module ipsec
ipsec_setup: kernel appears to lack KLIPS
ipsec_setup: OOPS, should have aborted! Broken shell!
[root_at_somemachine root]#
then i have noticed that the ipsec modules were installed in /lib/modules/2.4.18-3 instead of /lib/modules/2.4.18-3custom, (the module directory of the running kernel). i have copied them in the right place, but i still get the same error... any ideeas?
thanx
