Hi, folks,
I'm a rookie in the FreeS/WAN world, but I've read a lot of documentation about it yet.
The problem is that everytime I try to compile/install FreeS/WAN with X.509 and AES cipher, I get some erros I can't understand. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong. I would like some help, if it's possible.
What I'm using:
- Red Hat 7.3 (kernel 2.4.18-3);
- freeswan-1.98b-x509-0.9.15.tar.gz (From http://www.strongsec.com/freeswan/)
- freeswan-alg-0.8.0-BASE-common.diff.gz (From http://www.irrigacion.gov.ar/juanjo/ipsec)
- freeswan-alg-0.8.0-BASE-klips.diff.gz (From http://www.irrigacion.gov.ar/juanjo/ipsec)
- freeswan-alg-0.8.0-BASE-pluto_with_x509.diff.gz (From http://www.irrigacion.gov.ar/juanjo/ipsec)
- freeswan-alg-0.8.0-enc-aes.diff.gz (From http://www.irrigacion.gov.ar/juanjo/ipsec)
What I'm doing:
I've read an e-mail from Sam Srgo that he sent to this list telling that the version 1.98b does not require a new kernel compilation. So, I did that:
1- I copied freeswan-1.98b-x509-0.9.15.tar.gz to /usr/src and typed tar freeswan-1.98b-x509-0.9.15.tar.gz
2- Then, I copied all the ALG files to the freeswan directory in /usr/src/freeswan-198b and typed:
zcat freeswan-alg-0.8.0-BASE-common.diff.gz | patch -p1 -s
zcat freeswan-alg-0.8.0-BASE-klips.diff.gz | patch -p1 -s
zcat freeswan-alg-0.8.0-BASE-pluto.diff.gz | patch -p1 -s
zcat freeswan-alg-0.8.0-enc-aes.diff.gz | patch -p1 -s
3- I typed make install, the installation started, but a lot of erros appeared. Maybe it's because any library necessary to freeswan compilation is missing.
What are the libraries or packets necessary to compile FreeS/WAN?
Thanks in advance.
