Yes, newer kernels are annoying to deal with, since some behaviours have
changed.
You must "make dep && make modules" in /usr/src/linux-2.4 (or wherever
your source tree is) before building Super FreeS/WAN.
I checked in a fix for this in my CVS tree, where "make *mod" from Super
FreeS/WAN runs the "make modules" for you automatically, but I haven't
packaged a release since, since I felt it's too minor a change to warrant
a full release.
