I'm using freeswan 1.98b on a debian with kernel 2.4.19 + grsecurity on
my gateway.
I test different software for vpn and i encounter a limit (bug?)
i have the following interfaces:
eth0 & ppp0, eth1
ipsec0 (ppp0), ipsec1 (eth1)
tun0, tun1
tun0, tun1, eth1 and ipsec1 have the same IP (the internal one)
and when tun? are up i can't connect either in my internal network,
either the external one.
It stops on "phase 1 R ident: [|sa]" (no response from gateway)
and "ipsec --auto up conn" returns:
"we have no ipsecN interface for either end of this connection"
when tun? are down (openvpn test if), it's ok.
normal way or bug/limit ?
