Ken,
I removed the kernel-source and re-installed manually from rpm
(2.4.18-19.7.x).
I know receive the error right after exiting MENUGO:
IPSEC not in kernel config (/usr/src/linux/.config) !!
I also tried MENUGO with super freeswan and received this error:
Cannot unpatch /usr/src/linux/net/Makefile, it has changed since patching.
These errors first occured after i reinstalled the kernel-source.
Any recommendations?
Cheers,
Paul.

You have a corrupted kernel source tree - it is becoming quite common on
RH boxes lately for some reason. You'll get the really odd errors - ie:
/usr/src/linux-2.4.18-19.7.x/include/net/neighbour.h: In function
`neigh_confirm':
/usr/src/linux-2.4.18-19.7.x/include/net/neighbour.h:233:
`jiffies_R0da02d67' undeclared (first use in this function)
/usr/src/linux-2.4.18-19.7.x/include/net/neighbour.h: In function
`neigh_event_send':
/usr/src/linux-2.4.18-19.7.x/include/net/neighbour.h:248:
`jiffies_R0da02d67' undeclared (first use in this function)
In file included from /usr/src/linux-2.4.18-19.7.x/include/net/sock.h:107,
The bizarre random strings like 'R0da02d67' are a good indicator that
someone's totally screwed up in the source tree, totally unrelated to
FreeS/WAN.
Re-install your source tree from the RPM, and rebuild.
