Prefix: Yes, _kb3 came out yesterday, but there have been several requests
for a _kb2 w/NAT-T 0.5a support, since _kb2 has been the most stable
release to date. Introduction of the Port Selectors patch into X.509
patches has caused some stability issues that we're still trying to track
down. So I've bowed to public pressure and put out a 1.99_kb2b, which is
1.99_kb2 with NAT-T 0.5a instead of 0.4.
This is another release of Super FreeS/WAN, version 1.99_kb2b
Super FreeS/WAN is a largely patched up version of FreeS/WAN (www.freeswan.org)
with support for all sorts of addtional features that aren't considered mainline,
or haven't been tested enough for the FreeS/WAN developers to accept into the
mainline branch.
Think of it as the -ac branch of the Linux Kernel. Cool new toys that aren't
tested well enough for "production use" land here first. Then we beg the
developers to accept the patches until they get in (or so we hope!)
This version includes the following major patches:
X.509 0.9.15
ALG 0.8.0 (All ciphers/hashes enabled)
Notify/Delete SA (020904 version)
NAT Traversal 0.5a
MODP 768bit Phase 1 Support
As well, various bugfixes have been applied on top of these patches - for
a full list, see CHANGES.SUPERFS
Downloadable from http://www.freeswan.ca/code/super-freeswan
Changes:
_kb2 to _kb2b
* Upgrade NAT-T to 0.5a (math/ts/kb)
